15khz/20khz Piezoelectric Ultrasonic Welding Transducer
We call the whole Ultrasonic Welding Transducer connected with the horn as a vibrator. The ultrasonic transducer can produce regular vibration under appropriate electric field excitation, and its amplitude is generally about 10 μ m. It is not enough to directly complete welding and processing procedures. The amplitude of ultrasonic wave can be changed in a wide range after connecting with a reasonably designed horn. As long as the material strength is enough, the amplitude can exceed 100 μ M. On the other hand, the movement direction of the particles on the left and right sides of a cross-section is just opposite when the horn is in longitudinal stretching vibration, which is equivalent to the existence of a relatively static nodal surface. This nodal surface is called a node, which is also the best fixed point of the vibrator. Deviation from the node fixation will reduce the working efficiency of the vibrator, commonly known as leakage wave. Generally speaking, aluminum horn has high sound transmission efficiency, but its material strength is low, easy to crack and screw hole sliding; steel horn has high strength but relatively large acoustic impedance; titanium alloy horn has good comprehensive performance, but its disadvantages are high price and difficult processing.
